Creating solutions maximize how a product is displayed is critical for any item’s success. Not only for the retailer, but for the customer. From in-store endcaps, to full wall programs, I will factor in your needs to maximize your visual space as well as make it appealing to the customer.
Building strong packaging is not just about making a box pretty. It is building successful cross-category programs that can be found throughout major retailers nationwide. A conscious effort is made when applying form and function to packaging. From the paper type, to finish, to the layout and colors. Not only do I factor those in the design, but also how it makes the customer feels as they hold the package and open it to see what is inside.
From the initial sketch to the final production sample. It is bringing the big idea to life. Whether it is laying out technical specifications or coordinating with pattern makers and 3D industrial designers both home or abroad, I not only design, but direct the right people to the right teams to make those visions a reality.
Being flexible as critical for any artist. Depending on what it is needed, I use my skill-sets from hand illustration to digital rendering to not only make things recognizable, but resonate with the client. All art starts somewhere, and illustration is always at its core, from a doodle on a napkin to a piece of fine art printed on a quality medium.
Retouching is more than just making things look good. It is turning back the clock. It allows someone to either relive a moment in time, bring back a lost memory, or making a product shine like it has never done before. I not only restore photos, but rebuild them to what the can be.
In many ways, art becomes science. Not only is it about figuring out repeats and patterns, but actual formulas and how things are balanced as they are produced. Some of the patterns here albeit simple to the viewer, has many more challenges to make it feasible on press or even in weaving. It can be the most fun thing for me to do because it places a challenge for me to make sure that the pattern is not only beautiful, but also functional.
